Travelling with your kids to Paris in Summer

If you’re travelling to Paris with your kids, here are a few places that you could visit with them that are both for kids and adults as well.

Parks

There are tons of beautiful parks in Paris to choose from and usually they have a cute playground. I would recommend the one near Place des Voges and Square Emile Chautemps near Metro Réaumur-Sebastopol.

Museums

You would be happy know that most museums are free for kids 8 years old and below, and I think older ones will get discounted rates. See my previous posts for my recommendations. But on the top of my head, I recommend Musée Carnavalet (Free all-year round) and Musée des Arts et Métiers.

Restaurants

In the beginning, I was surprised to see babies and little children in bars haha, but it seems quite normal here. Even during football games, i’d see the little ones everywhere.

Kiddie Workshops

This should be under museums but I thought you can also do a research in advanced as some exhibits or museums would offer some activities for the children. The police museum offers a workshop on how they investigate cases which I thought was really interesting even for adults. Sometimes the activities are related to the artist or the genre of their work.

Hotel de Ville

Depending on the season or occasion the municipality of Paris always offers something interesting for the kids. One of my favorite is the wall-climbing which is free for the little ones.

Shopping

France is known not only for fashion but also for their beautiful childrenswear that you could probably see in the royal kids closet. From Petit Bateau, Jacadi, Baby Dior. You can also visit my childrenswear that are made and designed in Paris. I sell them on Etsy: Sewbibicheparis.

Cool Places for Kids in Paris

While there are a lot of cool places in Paris for both kids and adults, these are just my favourites and I know for a fact that kids enjoy them. By the way, most places are for free for kids below 7 years old and for those below 25 years old, there usually is a discounted rate.

I also have some clips of these places on my YouTube channel which I will link here.

Musée du Chocolat / Choco-Story Paris

Near Metro Bonne Nouvelle (Line 8 or Line 9) 28 Blvd de Bonne nouvelle 75010 Paris

First, who does not love Chocolates? They show a cool film on how chocolates are made and shows lots of information and samples of chocolate ingedients even the machines that they use. And the best part, you get to grab some chocolates yourself.

Musée des Arts et Métiers

Near Metro Arts et Métiers (Line 3 or Line 11) 60 Rue Réaumur, 75003 Paris

I was blown away by this view here, even as an adult, this is awesome, imagine for kids. This museum showcases different types of jobs, historical machines and modes of transportation. I think this is one of the most informative places I have seen and I think the kids would love it.

Musée de l’air et de l’espace

Aéroport de Paris-Le Bourget CS 90005 – 93352 Le Bourget Cedex

If you come here during summer, make sure to wear a hat as it can get super hot. If also it’s the season for the Air Show, it would be super cool to see as they have jet exhibitions in the air. The location of the Air Show changes each year so check in advanced. The airplanes and jet displays are amazing and plus they usually have some cool exhibits related to space and aircraft.

Boys’ Cargo Pants: ZHONGSHAN by Sewbibiche Paris Parisian Childrenswear Brand

Hi! Everyone, I just wanted a place where I could have all my clothes together in one place. I prefer having the business side run by ETSY, which is why when you have to purchase, you click on the ETSY link below the gallery or image.

Now, let’s get to the clothes. These pants are so cool, I swear we didn’t see anyone with a similar pain in Paris while shooting for this post. It is quite light and comfortable and can be worn for school or even special occasions. We would style it with your child’s favourite hoody or t-shirt. Better add a sweater as it’s quite chilly these days.
